Doolittle was a mad genius! His men that made it the friendly territory had absolutely amazing stories of evading capture from the Japanese......🥲🫡

Title is misleading. This specific plane wasn’t flown in the Doolittle raid.

If im not mistaken the Doolittle raids were essentially 1 way trips as the distance to Japan from the carriers was too far to allow for a return trip, so their goal was to make for China and ditch behind Chinese lines. It took incredibly brave men to carry out the mission.

I would like to add that the “guy” in Kissimmee that restored this magnificent aircraft is Tom Reilly, the Master of B-25 restorations.

Met these guys last year and went for a ride.... so cool. Wonderful operation!

I worked at US Naval Test Pilot School in the 1980's. A company named Calspan had a B-25 and they used to bring it there every year. Absolutely beautiful aircraft. FLY NAVY!!!

Significance is Pancito was on the Doolittle raid, but A/C built in 1944.... Pancito did no have chin mounted 50s either, so it's a bit CNN... Should have stated replica right at the start.

The Japanese killed thousands of Chinese in response to the raid .

This was our second Sun n Fun and it was EPIC. WILL NEVER MISS ANOTHER ONE!
